Diabetes Diary v1.4

With the release of iPhone OS 3.0, it took longer than I had hoped to release the latest update to Diabates Diary, but its available now.

This update features integrated app settings (many users asked me how to change glucose readings to mg/dL) and fully editable insulin types.

Diabetes Diary - editable insulin types

You can now add your own custom insulin types and set their associated colour which is displayed in lists and graphs. The first type in the list is selected by default so you’ll want to make this the type you use most frequently. A default list of popular types is included which can be reverted back to at any time.

You can also choose to see low and high glucose readings highlighted. The low and high thresholds are set to 4.0 mmol/L (72 mg/dL) and 10.0 mmol/L (180 mg/dL) respectively.

Hi there, I saw your app on the store and it looks quite simple for entering data. My problem with other apps I’d that you can’t enter mess, glucose, food and activity on one screen, at one date. It’s always back and forth for entries. It seems though, like your neda and bg is entered on the same screen. Do jou have plans to add x meal/activity entry?

Thanks

Hi Mark

There is a free-text note facility so you can annotate any glucose reading or insulin dose. I don’t have any plans at the moment to add meals and exercise explicitly but will certainly look at it in the future.

Use your app since 3 days. Seems well done.
Suggestion:
-Direct reading from the glucometer to the the iphone via WIFI. Yes it’s not only depending on you but could be a business case
-iphone replication to a web application/server to store the DDiary safely and made it accessible worldwide + maybe reporting capabilities

tx for all
